Surface Drains, French Drains
Drainage systems are elements that are installed at the surface or sub-surface levels to divert water from one area to another. Typically, drains direct water to a sewer system or other areas where water can be properly dispersed.
Nearly every home or property has some kind of drainage system to avoid flooding, standing water and other damages caused by excessive water. A and A Fence & Concrete can help you avoid costly repairs caused by improper or non-existent drainage systems.
The purpose of a surface drain is to collect the water and move it away from your home or property efficiently. Water is collected in a catch basin or trench and is then transferred to the desired area. These types of drains are often used for landscapes with deep depressions, low areas and harder areas where water isn’t easily absorbed.
French drains are trenches that are dug from one area to an area where the water won’t be a problem. Sometimes a perforated drain pipe is added along the bottom. Gravel, sand or turf is added to the top to make them less conspicuous.
During drain installation, we work around your landscaping and make sure to protect the integrity of your yard. It is our goal to keep your property looking as good as it did when we arrived. Call A and A Fence for a free estimate today!
